- Visitors to downtown Detroit on Wednesday got to see people “hanging” around “The Fist” sculpture at Jefferson and Woodward avenues. The 9,000-pound, 24-foot-high, 24-foot-long arm with a fisted hand, formally known as the “Monument to Joe Louis,” is a part of the Detroit Institute of Arts collection.
