- In a letter sent Thursday to employees, customers and community members, the president and CEO of Delta Airlines said the company will more than double the amount it gives back to communities worldwide in the coming year to share the “remarkable” year it had in 2015. Beginning this year, the Atlanta-based airline plans to contribute 1 percent of its net income from the previous year to charitable organizations in target markets and hub cities.
